The First Three Chapters

As an editor at a publishing house and at a literary agency, Katharine reviewed several thousand unsolicited and solicited submissions. She was instrumental in finding award-winning authors in the "slush pile." She’s an expert at knowing what makes a submission shine through the dross.

Katharine is a three-time judge for the popular fiction category of the Minnesota Book Awards. She has edited books including several entries in the series, Cities Through Time (nonfiction); several entries in the series, Passports To… (nonfiction), of which she was lead editor; Horse Sense, by Jan Neubert Schultz (novel); and The War, by Anais Vauglelaud (English-language edition).

Katharine and her team have no current financila relationshpis to a publishing house or agency. We’re 100 percent independent. You, the writer, are our only priority.
